Since 1995, A. Mark Liiv
has worked on numerous video activist projects and co-founded Whispered
Media in 1996. He has contributed significantly to every aspect
of the collective's mission including creating videos
and websites, organizing and day-to-day administration. Mark has also
organized dozens of video
screenings on a broad range of social issues, including the three
day Bulldozed!
Festival, a benefit event which screened videos about gentrification,
displacement and homelessness. Mark works part time on the ferry boats
in San Francisco Bay as a deckhand and member of the Inlandboatmen's
Union of the Pacific (IBU, ILWU). He continues his work with
Whispered Media today.
